Program Aims

This Professional Development - Quick Response Bursary is a rolling fund.  This means that once funds are expended for the program year, no further EOI's will be taken.

Applications will be considered for funding by the North Burnett Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee and awarded at the discretion of Council.

This funding aims to:

  • provide assistance for North Burnett artists and cultural workers to attend quality training opportunities, the timing of which do not align with usual RADF funding rounds.
  • reduce barriers for artists and cultural workers living in the North Burnett region to attend training opportunities in neighbouring local government areas (eg South Burnett, Bundaberg, Fraser Coast and Gympie)
  • build artist and cultural worker participation in professional development in a cost-effective way
  • strengthen our regional networks and relationships between artists and cultural workers, and
  • provide opportunities for artists to grow their arts' practices and arts businesses.

Applicants may seek funding of up to $250 to assist with the following:

  • transport costs
  • accommodation costs (eg for two-day weekend workshops)
  • workshop fees

Applications must be submitted at least 15 business days prior to date of training to allow processing time.
